What is Division?
Division is like sharing or splitting things equally.
Imagine you have 9 yummy candies, and you want to share them with 3 friends so that everyone gets the same amount. That’s what division is!
Example:
If you have 8 toys and share them with 2 friends, each gets 4 toys.
8 ÷ 2 = 4
If you have 10 apples and share with 5 friends, each gets 2 apples.
10 ÷ 5 = 2

24 divided by 8 is similar to…
(A) 4 × 8
(B) 3 × 1
(C) 4 × 9
(D) 2 × 2 × 2
Answer: B
We are solving:
24 ÷ 8 = 3
We need to find the option that is similar (means gives the same result or is related).
Let’s check each option:
(A) 4 x 8 = 32 (not 3)
(B) 3 x 1 = 3 (this is the same as our answer)
(C) 4 x 9 = 36 (not 3)
(D) 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 (not 3)
So, the correct answer is: (B) 3 x 1
Question 04
